After retiring from my career as a teacher, I was inspired to launch Aliada Learning Coach because I wanted to continue to support students in ways that were unique to their personal needs.
I am passionate about a variety of things. I love helping students develop both academically and emotionally. Traveling with my husband, friends and students to Spanish speaking areas is a favorite activity; so far, Spain is my top visited country, but I have also visited Costa Rica, Puerto Rico (not a country!), Mexico and the Dominican Republic. I enjoy spending time at the lake (tanning, fishing and boating), and I love golfing with my husband. My two canine-kids keep me occupied with walks and mischief, as well. In the summer, I work at a golf course and have since I was a teenager.
Personality-wise, I connect well with students and create lifelong relationships with them. I've traveled abroad with students for the past 25 years (the pics on this website are past students). Connecting with you and helping you meet your desired goals for success will be my priority!
A Partner to Promote Acceleration
"Aliada" (Spanish for "ally") functions as a partner, a personalized "aliada" – a step beyond other tutors. This partnership facilitates skills and content in a way to prepare students to catapult themselves ahead of their peers and to stand apart from others.
My goal is to give the student an edge, fostering confidence and independence in the learning process.
